They afford the teacher a means for posting information, assignments, handouts, most anything a teacher can envision. In addition, and maybe even more powerful, is the fact that wikis can be collaborative spaces for work groups of any kind. Teachers can collaborate to share resources for curriculum, departments can collaborate to share ideas and projects, students can collaborate to build knowledge bases.
